Founder Michael Chylinski gave up a promising degree in clinical dentistry to focus on his passion, which later grew into the flourishing business it is today. While still at university he worked alongside master watchmakers for the Richemont Group, owners of brands such as Cartier, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC Schaffhausen and A. Lange & Söhne, specialising in expert case re-finishing across a multitude of different brands.
For a number of years he was also used exclusively by the majority of Melbourne’s second-hand watch trade, refinishing hundreds of watches to perfection annually. The Watch Collector Company was established in 2011 and has been selling hundreds of timepieces annually, serving customers Australia-wide and internationally, with a key focus on industry-leading factory re-finished timepieces and a bespoke customer experience.
