A little background to this watch – it was released around the same time that Pierce Brosnan popularised the blue dial bond watch, the 2531.80 in goldeneye in 1995. At the same time this black version was offered. It has the exact same case and movement but much was different. The bezel font was larger, luminescent markers were ginormous along with the swords shape hands and also the bracelet had 2 polished links in the centre as opposed to the blue versions 4. At the time not many were sold as bond wore the blue watch in the movie, over the next 10 years the blue far out sold the black. As a result seldom will you bump into a co-worker with a black one on. As a result it has made the 2254.800 a rather scarce and desirable piece to own. This one would have to be one of the last ever sold in 2008 and comes with completely everything that you d expect when buying new. It is literally like new without blemish, scratch or mark anywhere and to boot it has recently been fully serviced as well.
