A Modern Rolex Icon
Few watches carry the same weight in the Rolex catalogue as the Cosmograph Daytona. Originally conceived around the world of motorsport, it has evolved into one of the most recognisable chronographs ever produced. The reference 116520 marks a particularly important chapter in that story.
Introduced in 2000, it was the first stainless steel Daytona powered by a Rolex-manufactured chronograph movement. The arrival of Calibre 4130 represented a significant technical milestone for the collection, bringing greater mechanical efficiency, a simplified architecture and an impressive 72-hour power reserve.
There is little need for unnecessary embellishment here. The appeal lies in the details, the engineering and the enduring design. A serious Rolex chronograph that remains just as compelling away from the racetrack.
