Often i get customers initially thinking that the explorer 1 is a little on the small side. Don’t let the 39mm case size deter you from considering this watch. When compared to a submariner lets say. It’s a full 1mm smaller but because of the absence of a rotating bezel the explorer’s dial stretches out further to the rim of its steel bezel to give of the illusion of a much larger watch by comparison. The explorer sits flush against the wrist which also makes it appear larger.
